Tea Party Baby Showers
A tea party baby shower is a themed baby shower that revolves around the different aspects of a tea. There are many ways to handle a baby shower such as this, and it all depends on the person who is throwing the party, as well as the mother to be that the party is being thrown for. For some future moms the party should be very relaxed and more focused on themes of the baby. These parties are very casual and very relaxed. In fact, you would barely know they revolve around tea, if it were not for the obvious tea themed food that is being served. On the other end of the spectrum, is the formal tea party. These types of Tea Party Baby Showers are very fun in a formal way. Some moms to be love the overall feeling of a formal tea, the fine tea settings, the unique and fine pastries, even the different courses of food that go with a formal tea. The choice really depends on the underlying personality of the mother to be and what you think she will enjoy the most.
For all tea party baby showers there are a lot of fun things that you can eat and prepare for the party. The first is of course little tea party cookies and pastries. For the casual tea party these can include little baby toy cookies that are bright colored and sugary as well as any other traditional type of cookie that goes with a traditional tea party.
For the formal tea party you would want to keep all of the cookies and pastries the same as for any formal tea. This does not mean that you cannot have fun little baby shower items on the same table setting as for the formal tea. They just need to fit the formal atmosphere. This means utilizing patterns and colors that are complimentary to a formal tea rather than the bright abrasive colors you would use to make things more casual.
The tea setting itself will also be quite different between the casual and formal tea party baby showers. With the formal setting you would use the fancier and more formal patterned china teacups, saucers, and other tea setting items. Whereas for the casual tea party, you could use brightly colored teacups and saucers and even a brightly colored teapot. The teapot in the formal shower would of course be the same formal pattern or even a solid silver teapot that you picture when thinking of a formal tea.
Either party can be a lot of fun. Once again it all depends on the guests themselves and the personality of the mother to be. Tea party baby showers can cater to anyone's personality and they allow for the one throwing the party a simple theme that is easy to implement and plan.
